Sree Metals

Sree Metals is located at 24-15-3 in R. V. Nagar. If you walk down this way, you’ll probably see the piles of metal before you even see the number on the building. We deal with all kinds of metal pieces, some new and some that look like they’ve been around since before I was born. It’s a heavy job. My back usually aches by the end of the day from moving stuff around. The yard is a bit of a mess, but there’s a system to it that only we really understand. We spend a lot of time weighing things and cutting pieces down to size. The air smells like iron and sometimes there’s a bit of smoke if someone is welding nearby. It’s not a clean environment by any means. Your clothes get stained and your hands stay grey for a long time. We don't have a fancy showroom. If you want to see what we have, you just have to come into the yard and look through the stacks. We get all sorts of people coming in, from builders to guys just looking for a specific scrap piece for a home project. We don't do much talking, mostly just working and getting the orders loaded onto the trucks. It’s a basic way to earn a living, but it suits us just fine here in R. V. Nagar.
