Sms Hospital Draksharama

Down here in Draksharama in East Godavari, the air is always a bit thick with humidity. Our SMS Hospital is a familiar sight for the locals. We’re in a place with a lot of history, and you can feel that when you walk around the town. The hospital isn't anything fancy. It’s a solid building that has seen many rainy seasons. We get people from the fields and the local shops. Most of the talk in the waiting room is about the weather or the crops, along with whatever health problem brought them in. We speak the local language and try to make everyone feel okay while they wait. The floors are stone and stay relatively cool even when it's scorching outside. We have a lot of older patients who have been coming here for years. They know which doctors they like and which ones they don’t. It’s a community thing. You might see families bringing in food for their relatives who are staying over. The smell of jasmine from the nearby houses sometimes drifts in when the breeze is right. We just do our work, checking pulses and writing out prescriptions. It’s a simple life here. We don't have big neon signs or a flashy lobby. Just a place where the people of AP can come when they feel under the weather. We try to keep things moving so no one has to wait too long. It is just our daily routine.
