Shazid Book Depot

Shazid Book Depot is over on Mellimarla Street in the Perraau Peta area. Our exact address is Door No-2-35-2, which is easy to miss if you aren't looking closely at the numbers on the houses. We are a small neighborhood shop, really. Most of the people who come here live just a few streets away. We keep a lot of school supplies, pencils, and the kind of books the local kids need for their exams. The shop is part of the building where we live, so it feels very much like a home business. You might hear the family in the back or smell cooking while you are looking for a notebook. We don't have regular opening hours like the big stores in the city; we are usually open when we are there, which is most of the time. The shelves are made of old wood and they creak a bit, but they hold a lot of weight. It’s a bit cramped inside, especially when three or four people come in at once. We try to keep the latest editions of the guides, but sometimes they sell out faster than we can get more. It’s a simple life here in Perraau Peta. We know most of our customers by name, and we’ve seen a lot of the local kids grow up and move on to college. We just keep the lights on and the books ready for the next group.
