Our place is located at 2-144, 145 Shantinagar in Kakinada. It gets pretty hot inside because of the furnace and all the metalwork we do every day. Casting metal isn't easy work, and we’ve all got the dusty clothes to prove it. We spend most of our shifts moving heavy parts and making sure the molds are ready. It’s a loud environment, but you get used to the noise after a few weeks. We’ve been in this part of Andhra Pradesh for quite some time now. Most of the guys here live nearby in Shantinagar, so we walk or bike to work. Sometimes the humidity makes the shifts feel longer, especially in the summer. We make a lot of different parts for machinery and other industrial stuff. It’s dirty work, but it’s honest. We don’t have a big fancy office; mostly just the floor where the real work happens and a small space to keep our records. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but our factory stays pretty much the same. We focus on getting the pours right so the pieces come out solid. When the shift ends, everyone is usually ready for a good meal and some rest. It’s just what we do here at Sri Bhavani Castings. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. It's just us, the metal, and the daily grind of the foundry life. We take it one day at a time here.
