Larsen Toubro Ltd

Our site is out at the 445Mw Konaseema Pwr Plant. It is located in Devarapalli, near Rajahmundry in the East Godavari District. It is a long way out for some, but for us, it is just where we go every day for work. The name on the gate says Larsen Toubro Ltd (E&C). It is a massive project area. You can see the structures from quite a distance away. Most of the time we are wearing boots and hats because it is a construction and engineering site. It gets pretty hot in Andhra Pradesh, especially in the middle of the day. We have some temporary offices set up to handle all the paperwork. It is dusty and loud, but that is what a power plant site is like. We drink a lot of water to stay cool. The workers are always moving around, moving materials or checking on things. Dharender Solanky is a name you might hear around here. We have been working on this for a good while. It is not like a city office where everything is clean and air-conditioned all the time. Here, the work is out in the open. We handle a lot of logistics. Sometimes the roads getting here are a bit rough, but we manage to get things through. We just focus on the job at hand. It is a big responsibility, but we do not talk about it much. We just do it. It is just how life is on a site like this.
