About Honey Screens – Safety & Security in Kakinada
Our shop is at Pl.No. 129/45 on Majestic Street. It’s a decent-sized space where we do all our screen printing. The name Majestic Street sounds a bit more grand than it actually is, but it’s a good spot for us. There is always the smell of solvents and paint in the air here. We have screens leaning against almost every wall, and the drying racks take up a lot of the floor space. It’s a bit of a mess, honestly, but we know where everything is kept. We spend a lot of time pulling the squeegee across the mesh and checking the prints as they come off. It’s physical work, and by the end of the day, our clothes are usually covered in spots of different colors. We don't have a fancy office area, just a small desk in the corner with a computer and a phone that rings more than I’d like. Most of our customers are locals who need stuff for events or small businesses. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just take the design, put it on a screen, and print it. Sometimes the weather makes the ink dry too fast or too slow, and we have to adjust. It’s just the way it goes. We’ve been here for a while and like being part of the street. It’s a simple life, just printing one thing at a time.
