Calcutta Pipe & Fitting Stores

Calcutta Pipe & Fitting Stores has been sitting here on Main Road for quite some time now. You’ll find us right across from the IDBI Bank. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when the shops start opening up. We spend most of our time dealing with pipes, valves, and all those small metal bits that people need for their houses or projects. It’s not a very fancy place, just a regular shop with shelves full of stuff. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside, but we try to keep things organized enough so we can find what a customer is looking for. We don’t really do big advertisements or anything like that. People just know we are here because they walk past us every day on their way to the bank or the market. Dealing with plumbing parts is basically what we know best. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and checking sizes. Sometimes someone comes in with a broken piece of pipe and we have to figure out what fits. It’s practical work. The weather gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so we usually have the fan going full speed. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but the shop stays mostly the same. Just a place for hardware and some conversation with the regulars who stop by. We open early and close when the sun goes down, just like most of the other businesses around here. It’s a simple life for us.
