Budhakhali Farmers Producer Company Limited is based in Vill-Baro Sanko, which is part of the Rishi Bankimchandra panchayat in Kakdwip. We are located right there at Khotian No-42/2. Our group is made up of local people who live and work in the Kakdwip area every day. Most of what we do is focused on farming and nothing else. We do not have a big marketing department or anyone to make us look fancy to the world. We are just a group of farmers who decided to pool our resources together. It is tough working alone on a small plot, so we figured being a company would help us out with things like getting supplies and selling our produce. The land here is what we know best because we grew up on it. Some days we are dealing with the thick mud, and other days it is the dry heat beating down. We grow what we can and hope for the best from the weather. We do not use any corporate talk here because that is not who we are. We are just folks from Baro Sanko who want to make sure our families are taken care of. We spend our time in the fields or at the panchayat office talking about water or seeds. It is basic, honest work. We do not have much more to say than that. If you are in Kakdwip, you might run into one of us. We are just trying to keep the farming tradition alive.
