Masouching Organic Farmer Producer Company Limited is based in Minou Village. You can find us at Kh. Kopham’s place in the Kakching sub-division. We are a group of farmers who mostly do things the organic way. It isn't because it’s a trend, but because it’s how we have always farmed this land. We don’t like using those heavy chemicals if we can help it. The village is small and we all know each other’s business anyway, so forming a producer company seemed like a natural step. We spend our days out in the sun and then we meet up to talk about the organic standards and how to sell our stuff. It’s a lot of work to keep the certifications and the paperwork right. We aren't professional businessmen. We are just people from Minou who know how to grow things. Kakching is a good place for farming, but it still has its challenges. We share tools and we help each other out when someone falls behind. It’s a very local effort. We don’t have a polished image or any big advertisements. We just have our crops and the hope that the next season will be a good one. It’s a simple life and we are just trying to make it work as a group so nobody gets left behind in the market. We aren't in a hurry to change how we do things. We just want to make sure the land stays good for whoever comes after us in Minou Village.
