Bansal Cotton Oil Mills

Out on Jind Road in Kaithal, you’ll find Bansal Cotton Oil Mills. It’s a place where we process cotton and get the oil out of the seeds. It’s heavy work and the machines are quite old, but they still do the job. The air inside the mill is always thick with a bit of cotton dust, so you have to get used to that. We see a lot of farmers and tractors coming in and out, especially during the harvest season. That’s when things really get crazy and we have to work long hours just to keep up with the supply. Jind Road is a main path, so there are always vehicles rumbling past. The noise is just something we live with.
