This engineering shop is located in V.P.O. Rohera, which is in the Rajound Tehsil of Kaithal district. If you are driving through Haryana, you will find us right in the heart of the village. It is a noisy place most of the time because we are always working with metal and tools. There is always the smell of grease and the sound of machines running in the background. We started this because we wanted to have a practical business right here where we live. Most of the people working here are from the nearby area and we have known each other for years. We spend our mornings fixing parts and our afternoons planning out the next big job. It gets very hot in the summer, so we usually start early to beat the sun. The office part of the building is just a small room with a desk and some old chairs where we keep our ledgers. We don't worry much about looking fancy; we just care about getting the engineering right so the machines work like they should. People from the surrounding villages bring us their problems and we do our best to find a fix using what we have. It is a lot of hard work and our hands are usually dirty by noon, but that is just part of the life here. We like the local feel of being in Rohera and wouldn't change it.
