Goyal Rice Mill

Goyal Rice Mill is located right in the Anaj Mandi. If you know the market, you probably know where we are. It’s a loud place, especially when everyone is bringing in their loads. We’ve been working out of this spot for years and the routine doesn't change much. We show up, check the equipment, and get to work on the rice. The Anaj Mandi is always full of people, so there is never a quiet moment during the day. We don’t really bother with fancy talk or big promises. We just mill the rice and keep the place running as best as we can. Some days are better than others, especially when the weather stays dry and the machines don't give us any trouble. We have a small crew and we all know our jobs by heart now. There is a lot of dust, that’s just part of the business, so you won’t find anything particularly clean or corporate here. It’s a practical setup for a practical job. We see a lot of the same faces every year, which is nice. It makes the long hours feel a bit shorter when you can chat with a neighbor while the mill is running. We’re just a part of the daily grind in the mandi. It’s not a complicated story, just a lot of rice and a lot of work. We’ll likely be here doing the same thing tomorrow because that is just the way things go.
