Global Engineering

Global Engineering is situated in Gram Tech, Ismailabad. We are quite easy to find because we are near the Punjab National Bank branch. Being close to the bank is helpful for when we have to sort out the accounts. Our shop is a mix of metal parts, welding gear, and grease. It is an engineering spot, so don't expect it to be clean. There are always iron shavings on the floor and the smell of oil in the air. We work on various mechanical pieces and try to fix things that people bring in. The crew here consists of a few local guys who know their way around an engine or a lathe. We have been in Ismailabad for a bit now and most of the locals know who we are. We don't have a website or a marketing person. Most people just show up with a broken part and ask if we can take a look. We spend our days under the flickering tube lights, tightening bolts and measuring steel. Sometimes we have to wait for parts to arrive from the city, which can take a few days. We just sit on the old wooden bench outside the shop and talk while we wait. It is a straightforward way of making a living. We do the engineering work that is needed and don't make much of a show of it.
