Devi Annapurna Foods is situated on Padla Road, specifically in the Patti Khoth area. We are right near Dera Tehal Singh, which is the main way people find us since the road can be a bit confusing if you’re not from around here. It’s a bit out of the way, but that works for us. We have enough space to handle our food products without being cramped by other buildings. The air is a bit clearer here than in the middle of the city. We spend our days mostly on the floor, checking the bags and making sure the stuff is what it needs to be. It’s a lot of physical work. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We rely on the fact that we’ve been here for a bit and people know who we are. The building is simple, just walls and a roof to keep the rain off the stock. Sometimes the birds get into the rafters, and we have to shoo them out. It’s just a regular part of life on Padla Road. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to provide decent food items to the people who buy from us. It’s a quiet life for the most part, punctuated by the arrival of delivery trucks and the occasional visitor who stops by for a chat. We just get on with it.
