Cheeka Rice Mill

Our mill is situated right on Pehowa Road in Chika, which is part of the Kaithal area. If you’re driving through, you’ve probably passed by our gates a few times. Cheeka Rice Mill is an older building that has seen a lot of seasons, but it serves us well. The air inside is always filled with that specific smell of dry husks and grain. We spend our time watching the machines and making sure the rice is coming out like it should. It’s a noisy environment, so we’ve all learned to talk a bit louder than most people. We don't have any polished sales pitches or corporate goals. We just focus on the daily tasks of milling and bagging. When the harvest starts, the road outside gets really busy with tractors lined up all the way down. It’s a hectic time, but it’s when the mill feels the most alive. We have a few guys who have been working here for years, and they know the sound of every machine. If something sounds off, they can usually fix it pretty quick. We don’t try to be anything we’re not. It’s just a local rice mill doing what it’s always done. We keep things simple and honest. The floors are rarely spotless, and our hands are always a bit dirty, but that’s just the reality of the business. We’re just a part of the community here in Kaithal.
