Balaji Rice Mill

Our mill is situated in Kaithal, right on Pingli Road. We are quite close to the FCI Godown, so there are always big trucks moving around this area at all hours. Balaji Rice Mill is where we spend all our time, processing the rice that comes in from the nearby fields. It is a noisy place when the machines are running, but we like the sound of work getting done. The building is large and a bit old, but it serves us well for what we do. We deal with lots of paddy throughout the year, especially after the harvest season hits. The dust is everywhere, so we wear scarves sometimes to keep it out of our lungs. We aren't a massive operation, just a local mill that keeps the community supplied with what they need. Often, farmers bring their carts right to our gate to drop off their crops. We have a small team of workers who have been with us for a long time now. It’s a lot of physical labor, moving heavy sacks and making sure the hulling machines are working right every day. We don't have a big marketing team; we just let our work show for itself. The location on Pingli Road is convenient for the transport trucks coming in. It's a straightforward business, no frills or extras. Just us milling rice every day and making sure things are packed up for the market buyers.
