Aggarwal Milk Food Industries

Working here at Aggarwal Milk Food Industries means waking up before the sun is even thinking about coming out. We are located right opposite the Mini Secretariat on Karnal Road, so there is always traffic passing by. You can hear the big buses honking all day long. The smell of fresh milk is everywhere, which is okay if you like that sort of thing. Some of the guys have worked here since they were young men. We spend a lot of time cleaning the floors and checking the tanks because you have to be careful with milk. It is a messy job sometimes. The trucks come in from the farms and we have to get moving fast so nothing spoils in the heat. It gets hot in the summer, really hot, but we have a few fans that move the air around the main floor. The office is just a small room with a heavy door to keep the noise out. We don't really do much fancy talk here. If the milk is ready, it goes out. If a machine breaks down, we just fix it ourselves most of the time. My clothes usually smell like butter by the time I go home at night. It’s hard work and your back definitely hurts at the end of the shift. Karnal Road is always busy, so getting out of the gate at five is a real headache. But we’ve been here a long time.
