Shree Ram Janki Hardware

Being in Village Bhabua means we see the same people almost every single day. Our hardware shop is near Satia Mod, so it is a central spot for anyone coming into the main part of the village. We carry a lot of different hardware items. It is honestly packed in here. You have to know exactly where every screw and nail is kept or you will never find it. The shelves go all the way to the ceiling. We use a small rickety ladder to reach the top rows. It is dusty work but someone has to do it. During harvest time, things get really busy around the village. People need tools fixed or new parts for their equipment. We stay open pretty late during those weeks. The post office is close by too, so we get a lot of foot traffic from people running their daily errands. It is a simple life running a hardware store here. We do not use a computer system for everything; a lot of it is just written down in a big ledger book. It works well enough for us. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon and we just use flashlights to help customers find what they are looking for. It is not a big city store with bright lights, but we have what is needed for the local work. We have been at this spot for years and the building has seen better days, but it holds up.
