Kinushree Mutual Benefit Nidhi Limited is located in Shiw Patti, specifically in the Tola area. We are over at Dhananjay Kumar's place in the Shiw Patti Panch-Sio block of Bhabua. It’s a very local thing. Most of us here have lived in Bhabua our whole lives and we don't plan on leaving. We started this because there wasn't much else around for the people in our village. It is a mutual benefit setup, which basically means we are all in it together as a group. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist in a suit. You just walk in and talk to us like you would a neighbor. We handle the paperwork and try to make sure everything is done right according to the books. It can be a lot of work sometimes, especially when the harvest is on and everyone is busy in the fields. But we stay open and keep the lights on. We know the families around here, and they know us. That makes things easier because there is a level of trust you don't get with big banks in the city.
