Wahani Kalyan Foundation

Wahani Kalyan Foundation is run out of Ajeet Kr Singh’s house in the village of Katra Arazi. Specifically, we are in the English Tola area of Bhagwanpur. It is a small place in the Katrakala panchayat with the pincode 821109. Being in a rural area means we are surrounded by fields and quiet roads. We don't have a dedicated office building, so we just use the space we have available at the village home. It works out fine for us because it keeps us close to the people we are trying to help. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment or staff. It is mostly just a few family members and friends who put in the time. We sit on the porch many afternoons discussing what needs to be done next. The villagers walk by and stop to chat, which is how we get most of our information about what is going on. It is a very informal way of doing things, but it feels more honest that way. We aren't trying to be a big company. We just want to make things a little better for those living around Katra. Sometimes we run out of supplies or have to wait for things to arrive from the city, but we manage. Life here is simple, and we try to keep our foundation work simple too. You won't find us on any big maps, but if you ask in Bhagwanpur, they'll point you to Ajeet’s.
