Jagdish Prasad Ramadatar

Jagdish Prasad Ramadatar has been a part of Dinbazar for as long as most people here can remember. We started out in a small space and it hasn't changed all that much really. The market is always loud and crowded, which is just the way we like it. We deal with all sorts of things throughout the day and our hands are usually busy moving stock or talking to the folks who stop in. It is a family thing, passed down and kept going through the years with a lot of hard work and very few days off. We don't have a website or any of that new stuff, we just open the doors early in the morning and see who comes by. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk with the neighbors, and other days we can barely keep up with the demand. The shop floor is worn down from years of feet walking across it. We handle the paperwork ourselves on an old desk in the back that has seen better days. It is not a flashy business by any means, but it is ours and it serves the people around Dinbazar well enough. We've seen the market change a lot, new shops coming and going, but we just keep doing what we've always done. It is simple work, really, just buying and selling and making sure people get what they need for their homes. We don't have any big corporate plans.
