Kilaru & Co.

Our place, Kilaru & Co., is located at 5-54-51 in Kaikalur. It's a decent-sized spot but nothing over the top. We’ve been working out of this building for a long time. The address is easy enough to find if you’re looking for it. We handle a lot of different things throughout the day. It’s mostly local business, people we’ve known for years. We don’t have fancy uniforms or big signs with flashing lights. The sign we do have has been there since we opened. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it’s dead quiet. We just take it as it comes. Usually, someone is sitting at the main desk while someone else is in the back moving things around. The floors are concrete and they get cold in the winter months. We drink a lot of tea to stay warm and chat about what's going on in town. We aren't some big corporation from the city. We’re just a local outfit trying to make a living in Kaikalur. We don’t have a lot of rules, we just try to be fair with everyone who walks in. The building next door is a bit loud sometimes, but we’re used to it by now. It’s just how things are here. We show up, do the work, and head back to our families. It’s a simple way to run things, but it’s worked for us so far. We plan to stay here as long as we can.
