Lalitha Kirana Shops

Lalitha Kirana Shops is our family business in Subash Colony. We are located in Kaghaznagar, which is a place we’ve called home for decades. Our shop is where we spend most of our waking hours. From early morning when the milk arrives until late at night when we pull down the shutters. It is a typical kirana store. We have bags of rice, lentils, spices, and all the small things people need for their kitchens. The shelves are a bit crowded because we try to fit as much as we can. It gets a bit dusty because of the traffic in Subash Colony, so we are always wiping things down. My wife and I take turns behind the counter. Our kids sometimes help out after school, mostly by counting change or putting items in bags. We know almost everyone who walks in. We know who likes which brand of tea and who is looking for a discount. It’s not just about selling things; it’s about the daily chats with the neighbors. Sometimes people just stop by to say hello or talk about the local news. We don't have any big sales or advertisements. We just try to have what people need at a fair price. Kaghaznagar is a good town, and Subash Colony is a friendly spot for a shop like ours. We just keep going, day after day, making sure the jars are full and the floor is swept.
