Prabhat Silicon Pvt. Ltd. is found at Plot No. 11/2/3. It’s a bit of an odd plot number, but we have been here for quite some time now. We work with silicon, making different parts and items that people need. The process involves using high-heat ovens, so the workshop stays very warm throughout the year. We don’t have air conditioning, just a few large ceiling fans that don't do much when the ovens are on full blast. You get used to the heat after a while, though. We are a small team and we don't have any big bosses in suits walking around. We all wear the same work clothes and help out with whatever needs to be done, whether it is mixing the material or packing the finished goods into boxes. Our office is just a small corner with a filing cabinet and a desk that is covered in samples. We don’t spend money on fancy catalogs or marketing. Most of our work comes from people who know us through other businesses in the area. We try to be careful with every batch we make because silicon can be expensive and we don't like to waste material. If a batch goes wrong, we have to start all over, which is a real pain. We just focus on the task at hand and try to get through our daily list. It’s a quiet and steady kind of business for us.
