Vm Minerals is located in Kadapa, specifically at 8/207-1 in Prakash Nagar. If you know Kadapa, you know it’s a place that knows its minerals. We’ve been operating out of this spot in Prakash Nagar for a good while now. Our yard is usually filled with whatever we’ve managed to source that week. It’s a lot of manual work, moving heavy loads and making sure everything is accounted for. We don’t have a big staff, just a handful of guys who have been doing this for years and know exactly what they are looking at. The sun in Kadapa can be really brutal, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early in the morning or later in the afternoon. During the middle of the day, things slow down a bit. We don't go in for fancy talk or business strategies. We just buy and sell minerals and try to make a living. The neighborhood is mostly residential and small businesses, so we try not to be too loud, but minerals are heavy and noisy by nature. Most of our customers are regular people or small contractors who have been coming to us for a long time. They know where the office is—it’s just a small room with a fan and a few chairs. We keep the records in big ledgers and spend a lot of time on the phone. It’s a basic way to run a business, but it works for us and the people we serve.
