Sri Lakshminarayana Engineering Works

Our workshop is located at Pl.No.34-18 in Cuddapah, which is quite close to the Bypass Road. If you come by, you will hear the sound of welding and metal being cut. It is a noisy place, but that is how it should be in an engineering works. We do a lot of repair work and some custom fabrication for people who live around here. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and we always have grease on our clothes by the end of the shift. It’s hot work, especially in the summer months, but we have a couple of big fans that keep the air moving a bit. We don't have a fancy showroom or a desk for visitors. Most people just walk right into the shop and talk to us while we are working. We’ve been at this spot for a long time and the locals know they can bring their broken parts here to get them fixed up. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a job if a farmer’s machine is broken or a truck needs a quick repair to get back on the road. We don't mind the long hours because the work is interesting and every day is a little bit different. It’s just a simple engineering shop where we use our hands to make things work again. We just do our work and don't make a big deal of it.
