Site Engineer

Our place is in Thimma Puram Peta, which is a small village near Achivelli in the Thondur Mandal area of Kadapa. Being in this part of Andhra Pradesh means we work with a lot of rural projects and small-town construction. Site engineering here is a bit different than in the big cities. We know the soil and the local landscape quite well. The office is just a simple room where we keep our surveying gear. We spend most of our time out in the fields or at small construction sites. It’s quiet out here, but there is always something to measure or a boundary to check. We don't have a big staff. It's just a couple of us who know how to handle the equipment. People in the village come by when they are planning to build something new or if there is a dispute about a land line. We don't talk in complicated terms. We just tell them what the measurements say. The heat in Kadapa can be tough, but we are used to it by now. We don't have a fancy website or a social media page. We just do the work and move on to the next task. It's a humble way to work, and it suits the village life here in Thimma Puram Peta. We’ve been at this for several years and don’t plan on changing much about how we operate.
