S. M. Minerals

Over here in Porumamilla, things move a bit differently. We are set up at Pl.No.17/56 on New Street, right in the heart of Kadapa Dist. S. M. Minerals has been part of this area for a while. It’s a lot of dust and heavy lifting most days, which is just the nature of dealing with minerals. The sun gets really hot in Kadapa, so we try to get most of the heavy work done early in the morning before it gets unbearable. Our office isn't much to speak of, just a place to sit and talk business. We have a small crew, mostly local guys who know the land and the materials well. We don't have any fancy brochures or big marketing plans. People around here know where we are if they need something. New Street can get a bit tight when trucks come through, but we manage somehow. It’s a lot of manual coordination. We spend our time checking weights and making sure the quality is what it should be. It’s hard work, and your hands never really stay clean. But it's honest work. We’ve seen Porumamilla change quite a bit over the years, yet our little corner remains pretty much the same. We just show up, do the job, and go home to our families. It’s not a complicated life, but it’s our life.
