Nippon Express

Proddatur is where Nippon Express has a small setup, specifically on Srinivasa Nager. Located in the Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh, the summers here get incredibly hot, making the daily work a bit tougher for everyone. Our routine is pretty straightforward. We come in, check the messages, and start organizing the day’s transport work. The office is at D/No-7/3905/3, a place that most locals can find without too much trouble if they know the neighborhood. We don’t have any fancy decorations or a big marketing team behind us. It’s just a few of us making sure that the transport and logistics side of things stays on track for the clients. We spend a lot of time on the phone, talking to people about where their shipments are or when the next truck is leaving for the city. There’s a lot of manual record-keeping because we like to have everything written down just in case the computer has issues or the internet goes out. We aren’t trying to be the biggest or the flashiest operation in the district; we just want to get the work done without any extra drama or stress. Sometimes the electricity goes out, and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back on. It’s a very local way of doing business, where people recognize you on the street and say hello. We handle the cargo, sort the papers, and make sure everything is tied down properly. It’s basic, honest work. It keeps us busy throughout the whole week.
