We are set up here inside the Zuari Cement plant area in Yerraguntla. It’s a dry part of Andhra Pradesh, and the sun really beats down on the Krishna Nagar area most months of the year. Our branch is part of the Hyderabad region for the ECC division of the company. Usually, things start early in the morning because once it hits noon, it just gets too hot to do much outside. There’s a lot of dust because of the cement works nearby, so we spend a fair bit of time just keeping the desks clean and the equipment covered. Most of us stay locally or commute from nearby spots. You’ll see trucks moving in and out all day long, which is just part of life here. It’s not a fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s more of a practical place where we get the paperwork done and manage the site activities. We have our tea breaks at the usual times, and that’s when most of the catching up happens. The address is a bit long to write out, but basically, if you find the cement factory, you’ve found us. Sometimes the power goes out, but we just deal with it and keep moving. It’s a busy environment with people always coming by to check on progress or drop off supplies. We’ve been at this location for a while now, so we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the place. We keep our boots by the door and the files stacked high.
