Asst.Engineer,Ivrcl I&P Ltd.

I am working as an assistant engineer for IVRCL I&P Ltd down in Kadapa. My place is at D.No.5/122 in R.V. Nagar. The pin code here is 516003. Kadapa can be a very dry and dusty place, especially when we are out on a project site in the sun. Engineering work here involves a lot of coordination with different teams. I spend my time checking on the progress of various infrastructure tasks. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what I do. R.V. Nagar is where I’ve set up my home base for this work. I usually start my day early before the sun gets too high. By noon, it’s usually too hot to do much outside, so we focus on the drawings and the logistics. I’ve been with IVRCL for a while now, and you get used to the way things move in this industry. Sometimes materials show up late or the weather doesn't cooperate, and you just have to figure it out on the fly. Being an assistant engineer means being a problem solver. I don't write big missions or anything like that. I just look at the plans and make sure the workers know what the next step is. Living in Kadapa has its own pace. It’s slower than the big cities, but the work is just as demanding. I keep my tools and my papers ready for whatever the next day brings, as you never know. There is always something to keep track of.
