At Apco Handlooms, we spend most of our time dealing with cotton and silk fabrics right here on Tyagaraja Street. It is a quiet enough spot in Khajipet, but we stay busy with the local folks from around Kadapa who stop by to see what has come in. The building at Dno 2 134 isn't anything fancy, just a regular place where we keep the handloom stocks. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just open the windows to let a bit of air in while we fold the sarees. My desk is near the front, so I see everyone walking past throughout the day. Ppgvkrishna is usually around handling the paperwork or checking on the inventory that arrives from the weavers. We don't have a big sign or flashy lights outside. People mostly know where we are because we’ve been here for a while. The shelves are packed with different colors, and sometimes it gets a bit dusty if we don't wipe them down every morning. It’s mostly just us doing the same routine, sorting the cloth, talking to the regular customers, and making sure the shop stays open on time. We don’t bother with much else besides the handlooms. It’s hard work, especially when it gets hot in the afternoons, but we manage just fine. There is always a lot of work to do with the billing and keeping track of the different patterns.
