Wood Art is located at Plot No. 13, right behind Khanna Market. It can be a little hard to find us because we are tucked away behind the main shops, but once you get close, you can usually hear the sound of the wood lathes. We have been at this address for a long time and the space is filled with scraps of lumber and half-finished projects. It is a workshop in the truest sense, messy and full of the tools we use every day. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights. Most of the time, the finished pieces are just wrapped in plastic and stacked in the corner waiting to be picked up. We work mostly with local wood that we can get our hands on easily. The team here is just a few local guys who know how to handle a chisel and a saw. We don't use much in the way of computers or high-tech machinery. It is mostly just manual labor and paying attention to what we are doing. The market nearby is always loud and busy, which makes our little plot feel even more tucked away. We don't do much in the way of sales talk. If people want something made, they just come by and tell us what they need. We give them a price, tell them how long it will take, and then we get started. There is usually a stray cat that hangs around the entrance, and we give it some scraps.
