If you go to Plot 127 4A in Anjar, that’s where you’ll find our clinic. We are out here in Kachchh, so the air is often dry and dusty. We deal with hair and cosmetic stuff, which means people come to us when they aren't happy with how they look or if they have scalp issues they want to fix. The clinic isn't huge, but we have enough room for the chairs and the equipment we need for our work. It’s a quiet place compared to the main market area. We spend a lot of time cleaning the tools and making sure the mirrors are clear. The staff is just a few local people who have learned the trade over the years. We don't use those shiny advertisements you see in the big cities. Most of our visitors come because a friend told them we are here. We talk to people about their hair or skin while they sit in the chair. It’s a lot of one-on-one time. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a minute for the backup to kick in, but that’s just life in Anjar. We keep the place tidy and try to make sure everyone feels okay when they are sitting there. It’s simple work but it keeps us busy from morning till evening. We’ve been at this plot for a while and don't plan on moving anywhere else soon. It works for us.
