Rayka Engg.

Rayka Engg. is based out of Village Raydhanpar. We are tucked away in the Kutch district, which is a pretty dry and dusty place most of the year. Our workshop is in a building that’s seen better days, but it keeps the sun off us while we work. We do a lot of basic engineering and repair work for the farmers and small businesses around the Nagor tehsil and Post Nagar area. It is a quiet village for the most part, except for when we are grinding metal or using the drill press. We don't have any high-tech robots here. Everything is done by hand with tools we’ve had for a decade. The heat in Kutch can be really something, so we start work very early in the morning and take a long break when the sun is at its highest. My cousin helps me with the welding and we have one more guy who handles the odd jobs. We don't have a big sign out front, just the name painted on the door. Most of our work comes from word of mouth. If we fix something and it stays fixed, people tell their friends. That is how we have stayed in business all this time. We aren't looking to expand or move to the city. We like it here in Raydhanpar where we know everyone and the work is honest.
