Out at C-36, Katira Shoppers City, near the RTO site in Bhuj, you’ll find our feed mill operation. It’s a bit of a trek from the main town center, but it suits us fine. We spend our days dealing with grain and animal feed. It’s a dusty job, and the smell of the mill is something you never quite get out of your clothes. Prestige Feed Mills is really just a group of us trying to get quality feed out to the farmers in the region. We don't have a fancy storefront. Mostly, it’s just trucks pulling in and out and bags being stacked high. The weather in Bhuj can be pretty harsh, so we have to make sure everything is stored properly so it doesn't spoil. We don't use any big marketing words to describe what we do. We just make feed. If the cattle are healthy and the farmers are happy, then we’ve done our job right. Sometimes the machinery acts up because of the heat, and we have to spend the afternoon with a wrench in hand. It’s practical, everyday work. We aren't trying to be the biggest mill in India; we just want to be the one that people in Bhuj can rely on. Being near the RTO site makes it easy for the drivers to find us. We’ve been here for a while and plan to stay as long as the farmers need us.
