Our office is located in the G.H.B. Colony in Gandhidham, specifically Sector 5, E-1. It’s a residential-feeling area, which makes the workday feel a bit more relaxed than being in a crowded city center. We are quite far out in the Kutch district, so things move at a slightly different pace than in the big cities like Ahmedabad. We handle various project management tasks from this office for the group. There’s a lot of logging of data and communicating with the teams out in the field. The weather here is often very dry and dusty, so we spend a fair bit of time cleaning the desks and computers. We have a simple setup with basic furniture and some old filing cabinets that have seen better days. It’s not a place for showing off. We just come in, do our hours, and try to keep the project timelines from slipping. Sometimes we have to travel to the port or other sites, but this is where we do all the central organizing. We know the postman and the local security guards who walk past the gate. It feels like a small community here. We don't have a fancy mission statement or anything like that; we just know what needs to be done each day and we try to get it finished. It’s practical work for practical people who just want to get the job done right.
