Pmc (Mundra Port & Sez Ltd.)

Our small office is located in Mandvi-Kutch, right on G.T. Road. We are in the Swali Street area, very close to the Hanuman Deri. This is where we run things for Pmc (Mundra Port & Sez Ltd.). Being near the port means things are always moving around here. The office itself is quite simple and fits in with the local shops and houses. We spend most of our time coordinating stuff related to the port and the special economic zone. It’s a lot of logistics and making sure people are where they need to be. The climate in Kutch can be pretty harsh, but we’re used to the heat and the dust. Inside the office, it’s just us and our computers trying to stay on top of the schedule. We don’t have a lot of corporate jargon here. We talk to truck drivers, port workers, and managers all in the same way. It’s a practical job that requires a lot of patience. Sometimes the roads get blocked up, or things get delayed at the docks, and we have to sort it out. We’ve been part of the local community for a while now. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s steady and keeps us connected to the sea and the trade. Most of the time we're just checking shipping lists and answering phones while the fans hum in the background.
