If you find yourself in Dayapar, which is in the Lakhpat area of Kutch, you will see Patel Telecom & H K Travels right opposite the new bus station on the highway road. We do a couple of different things here because in a place like this, you have to be useful in more than one way. Half the time we are helping people with phone stuff, recharges, or maybe some small electronics, and the other half we are helping them find a way to travel. It is a small town, and the highway brings in all sorts of travelers. Being right across from the bus station means we see a lot of people every day. Some are locals we have known for years, and others are just passing through Kutch. The shop is a bit cluttered with all the different things we manage, but we know where everything is. It is a practical arrangement. The weather out here in Lakhpat is often harsh, so the shop is a bit of a refuge for us. We don't go in for big speeches or fancy service goals. We just open the doors, put the kettle on, and help whoever walks in. It is a quiet kind of life compared to the big cities, but there is always something to do. Whether it is a phone bill or a bus ticket, we just handle it and move on. It is how things work out here on the highway.
