We are situated over in Kutch, working out of the Fofal Folio area in Mundra. If you’re looking for us, we’re c/o Shri P Chatterjee, which is how most of the local mail gets delivered. This part of Gujarat is very dry and the sun is quite harsh, especially during the middle of the year. Our daily life involves a lot of coordination for the pipe and saw business. There’s always a bit of salt in the air because we aren’t too far from the coast. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a practical space where we can sit down and get the logistics sorted. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to the plant workers or the transport contractors. There’s a lot of coming and going with different people dropping off receipts or asking about delivery times. We usually have a pot of tea going for anyone who walks in. The flooring is simple tile and we have some old metal cabinets for all our records. It’s a busy atmosphere but it’s not rushed. We take things one step at a time to make sure nothing gets missed in the paperwork. It’s just the reality of industrial work in a place like Mundra. We’ve been here long enough that we know all the shortcuts on the local roads and the best places to grab a quick snack during work.
