Mahadev Imports Private Limited is basically us working out of Gandhidham. We are tucked away in Bharatnagar, specifically at Plot 139 in Ward 9A. If you know Jalaram Marwadi Society, you will find us there easily. The office is set up at the place of Dhirajlal Jethalal Thakkar. It’s not a huge fancy building, just a practical spot where we get our daily work done. Living and working in Gandhidham means we are always dealing with the logistics of stuff coming in through the port. Most days are spent on the phone or checking papers to make sure things are moving right. We started this because there was a need for local people to handle import details without too much fuss. It gets hot here in Gujarat, so we mostly stay inside and focus on the computer screens. There is a lot of back and forth with customs and transporters. It’s a lot of paperwork, really. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who know how things work in the neighborhood. We’ve been around this part of town for a while now. The streets can get busy with trucks, but that is just how it is in this area. We just try to keep things simple and make sure the goods get where they are supposed to go. It isn’t glamorous work, but it keeps us busy and pays the bills.
