Maa Ashapura Lodge

Maa Ashapura Lodge is situated on the Mandvi Mundra Highway in Talwana. If you are driving through Kutch, you probably know how long and dusty those roads can be. We are located near the Bauter Jinalay, which is a landmark many people look for when they are traveling through this part of Gujarat. The lodge isn't a luxury hotel with carpets and room service, it is more of a practical stop for travelers and truck drivers who need a place to rest their heads for a night. The wind blows quite a bit out here on the highway, bringing in a lot of sand, so we are always sweeping the floors. We have a few rooms that are basic but kept as tidy as we can manage. It is a family-run sort of place, so you might see us sitting outside in the evenings when the traffic thins out. Being near Talwana means we are a bit isolated, but that makes it quiet for sleeping. We don't have a big reception desk or a bellhop. You just come in, ask for a room, and we give you the key. Kutch is a hard land but the people are honest, and we try to run this lodge with that same spirit. It is just a building by the road that serves its purpose for anyone passing through on their way to Mandvi or Mundra.
