Kandla Port Trust

We are located at B-173 in Apna Nagar, right in the heart of Gandhidham. This is one of the spots for the Kandla Port Trust staff and operations. It’s a 370201 area, and it feels like a real neighborhood here. People live and work in the same vicinity, so you’re always bumping into colleagues at the local shops or on the street. The office itself is pretty basic, just a standard building with the usual rooms and desks. We deal with the administrative side of the port here, so there is always a lot of paperwork and people coming in to get stamps or signatures. It’s a bit different from being right on the docks, but you can still feel the connection to the sea. The Gujarat heat is something we all just deal with, and the air conditioners are always humming in the background. We don’t have a marketing department telling us how to talk to people. We just speak plainly and get the documents processed. Most of us have been living in Apna Nagar for years, so it’s a very familiar environment. It’s not a shiny, new skyscraper; it’s just a solid place where the work of the port gets managed. We don’t make a big deal out of it. It’s just the daily routine for those of us in the Kutch district who keep things moving behind the scenes.
