Vardhman Minerals

Everything is a bit gray at Plot No. 307 in the Gidc Estate. That is just how it is when you deal with minerals all day long. We are right off Nagor Road, which gets quite busy with the big trucks moving in and out. Most mornings start with a cup of tea before we start the crushers. It is loud, but you get used to it after a few years. We spend most of our time looking at samples and making sure the bags are filled right. There's always a thin layer of dust on the windows. We try to wipe it off, but it comes back by noon. It's hard work, and our hands are usually rough by the end of the week. The yard is full of piles of raw material waiting to be processed. We don't bother with much decoration around here. A few chairs and a table are enough. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit outside and wait for it to come back on. It’s a bit of a trek to the main road if you’re walking, so we stay put mostly. The neighbors are alright, everyone just minds their own business. We keep the gate open during the day so the deliveries can get in without too much trouble. It is just a regular place where we get the work done. It’s simple.
