Sweta Marble

Sweta Marble is right here at Plot 153, just near the Koteshwar Char Rasta. If you know where Modern Tiles is, we are right next door to them. This place is usually covered in a layer of white dust because of all the stone we move around all day. We have slabs of marble leaning against the walls everywhere. Some are really heavy and need the crane, while others we just move by hand. It’s a bit messy sometimes. People come in looking for stuff for their new floors or maybe a kitchen counter. We don’t have a big sales pitch for anyone. We just show them what’s currently in the yard. Sometimes the colors don't match exactly what they saw on a phone screen, but that's just how natural stone works. We’ve been at this spot for a good while now. The traffic near the crossroads can get pretty bad in the evenings, so it's a bit of a pain. We usually open up early to try and beat the heat. It’s mostly just us moving blocks and cutting pieces to the right size. We don't have a fancy showroom with air conditioning or anything like that. It's mostly just the warehouse and the outdoor area. If it rains, things get a bit muddy. We have a few guys who handle the heavy lifting. They’re good at what they do. We don't spend money on big signs. We just hope the stone looks good enough that people tell their neighbors. It's a simple way to run things.
