Unique Warehousing And Allied Services

Our warehouse is situated on Plot No. 464 in Phase-1, Sector-1 of the Kandla Special Economic Zone. It's a pretty large space which is necessary because we deal with a lot of storage and handling of goods coming through the zone. Being in the KASEZ means there are a lot of rules and security, so things can be a bit slow at the gates sometimes. We spend our days loading and unloading trucks and making sure everything is stacked where it belongs. It’s physical work and the warehouse can get quite warm during the summer months. Unique Warehousing is basically just a group of us managing the floor space and keeping track of what comes in and what goes out. Allied services just means we do the extra stuff like packing or moving things around as needed. We’ve got some old forklifts that have seen better days but they still get the job done. The floor is concrete and there’s always a bit of dust, no matter how much we sweep. It’s not a glamorous job but it’s what we do. We don't have a big corporate office, just a small cabin inside the warehouse where we keep the records and have our tea. It's a busy part of the zone and there’s always trucks lined up outside on the main road waiting for their turn. We just manage the daily storage needs.
