Electrotherm (I) Ltd. is located out at Survey No. 325 in Samakhiyali Village, which is part of the Bhachau Taluka in Kutch. It is a pretty dry and dusty part of the country, but this site is where a lot of the heavy lifting happens. The plant is huge and covers a lot of ground, so you see a lot of people moving around in different uniforms depending on which section they work in. Working here means getting used to the heat of the Kutch region, which can be pretty intense during the daytime. We have a lot of big machinery and tall structures that you can see from quite a distance when you are driving down the highway. The atmosphere is very industrial; there is always the smell of grease and metal in the air. Most of the guys working here come from the nearby villages or stay in the staff quarters because it is a bit of a trek from the bigger cities. We don't really do the whole corporate office vibe; our desks are often covered in technical drawings and there is always someone coming in to report a fix that needs doing on the shop floor. It is a 24-hour operation for the most part, so the lights are always on and the gates are always busy with trucks. It is just steady, heavy work day in and day out at this Samakhiyali location, keeping the furnace and the production lines running.
