Up here in Village Varsana, which is part of the Anjar area in Kachchh, the landscape is pretty dry and the sun can be really unforgiving. At Psl Ltd., we’ve got a big space where we handle a lot of industrial work. It’s the kind of place where you need to wear heavy boots and keep your head down. The wind blows across the open ground and kicks up a lot of sand, so keeping things clean is a bit of a losing battle. We mostly deal with big metal structures and pipes, so there’s always the sound of clanging or machines humming in the background. The guys on the shift come in from the nearby villages, and we all know the routine by heart now. We don’t really have any polished office spaces here; it’s mostly just functional rooms and the big workshop area. During the summer, we drink a lot of water and try to stay in the shade when we aren't right in the middle of a task. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the measurements are right on the pieces we're working on. Anjar is a busy industrial hub, but out here in Varsana, it feels a bit more separated from the city rush. We just show up, do the hours, and head home when the sun goes down. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. We don't spend time on fancy speeches, we just keep the machines running and the yard moving.
