Down at Plot No 94, Gate No 1 in Toli Chowki, you will find Karuangan Art Centre School Of Art & Craft. It is a Hyderabad spot where things get a bit messy with paint and glue. We spend our days teaching people how to make things with their hands. It does not matter if it is drawing or making crafts, we just do it all here. The building is easy to spot once you get to Gate No 1. We have rooms filled with brushes, paper, and all kinds of supplies scattered around. It is not a quiet museum; it is more of a workshop where people are actually working. Some days are busier than others, especially when the kids come in after their regular school. Hyderabad is a big city, but Toli Chowki feels like its own little world. We like being part of the 500008 neighborhood. People walk in with an idea and we try to help them put it on paper or turn it into a craft project. We do not have a big corporate team or anything. It is just us showing folks how to use a pencil or a pair of scissors properly. Sometimes the floor gets covered in scraps, but that is just how it goes when you are making art. We stay open and keep the lights on for whoever wants to learn. It is a practical place for practical art and we enjoy the daily chaos.
