Arjun Sec. School

Our school, Arjun Sec. School, is located inside S.S. Towers right at the Chaitanyapuri X Roads. Being at such a major junction means there is always noise and movement outside, but inside the building, we try to keep things focused on the books. It is an older building, and we occupy a good portion of it with our classrooms. We have been part of the Chaitanyapuri landscape for quite a while now. It’s a busy life running a secondary school in this part of Hyderabad. We deal with everything from missing chalk to students forgetting their homework. We don't have a fancy campus with grass and trees, it’s an urban school through and through. We use the space we have as best as we can. Most of the teachers here have been working in this area for years and they know how to handle the local kids. We don't put out many flyers or do much talking about ourselves. The parents come to us because they know we are right there on the corner and we’ve been there forever. My desk is usually covered in papers and attendance sheets, and that is just how it is. The stairs in S.S. Towers are a bit steep, and we are always telling the kids to slow down when they are running for their bus. It is just a normal part of the day. We are just trying to make sure these teenagers pass their exams and learn something.
